Valdelosfrailes2005sin_aada_Media_RESOLUCAgain, the Matarromera Group´s wines have left its quality mark in international competitions of great prestige.  During March, the competition took place in the Belgian town of Wauthier-Braine, the celebration of a new edition «International Wine Contest», within the network of international competitions the wine «(International Vine and Wine Organisation).

With a gold medal and two silvers, the Castilian and Leonese Wine Group, strengthens its leadership in the market for quality wines. “Valdelosfrailes Vendimia Seleccionada 2005”, a wine that recently has been incorporated onto the wine list menu of “Air Europa airline”, obtained the Gold Medal. This Wine from the Cigales Region, is 100% Tempranillo and has been aged 12 months in French and American oak, increasing the prestige of the Matarromera owned winery: Valdelosfrailes.

On the other hand, “Matarromera Crianza 2007”, true to form, remains in leading the high-end wine category, with a silver medal. This red wine is 100% Tempranillo, with 12 months in American oak barrels. It is one of the strongholds of the Group in “Ribera del Duero” Region, and one of Matarromera’s best-known wines.


In the same vein, “Emina Prestigio Tempranillo 2006”, also 100% Tempranillo, with 16 months remaining in Allier French oak and is medium roast, is with «Atio», another of the stalwarts of the Group. This is another Matarromera owned winery in Ribera del Duero, called Emina.

These awards encourage a new boost to the company, in addition to increasing and expanding its global presence, Matarromera has stayed true to their corporate values: excellence, distinction and elegance.
