Brandies and spirits
The Cistercian monks of the Monastery of Valbuena in San Bernardo started distilling grape marc and producing liqueurs in 1143, just as we now do for you.
Destilerías del Duero was established in San Bernardo (Valbuena de Duero) next to the Cistercian monastery of Santa Maria de Valbuena, located in the middle of the best wineries in the area, with the aim of reviving these ancient traditions. It is the only distillery based in Ribera del Duero to produce high-alcohol and low-alcohol brandies and spirits from pomace originating in the Ribera del Duero Denominación de Origen.
The products marketed include Licor de Hierbas and ALDOR Aguardiente de Orujo Blanco de Heredad, and Brandy Solera Gran Reserva Fray Martín de Valbuena.
