If you didn’t watch Aquí La Tierra on TVE last Thursday, here is the report about WIN Sin Alcohol. In just three minutes they explained how wine is made with these characteristics, beginning with maintenance of the vineyard. Their cameras filmed the molecular deconstruction plant, one of the most advanced of its kind in the world. WIN Sin Alcohol is a healthy alternative for all those who cannot or do not want to consume alcohol: pregnant women, athletes, women who are breastfeeding, people with a low-calorie diet … Demand in Spain is actually growing for such products, with consumers increasingly seeking out products that are healthy, low in calories and that have a low alcohol content. Accordingly, WIN wines maintain all the beneficial health properties of the original wine, as they contain polyphenols, anthocyanins and antioxidants. Polyphenols in particular, which are bioactive compounds contained in alcoholic and non-alcoholic wine, are one of the greatest antioxidants that can be found in our diet. They provide up to 10 times more vitamin C than any other foods that are known to be rich in this fantastic antioxidant nutrient.
WIN is produced using white and red wines made from Verdejo or Tempranillo grapes from vineyards located in two of the main Designations in: Ribera del Duero and Rueda.
The flavours and alcohol are separated from the rest of the wine elements using an innovative procedure that is carried out in the Molecular Deconstruction Plant in Valbuena de Duero (Valladolid). This procedure uses a system called a Spinning Cone Column, which minimises the risk of flavour loss while extracting the alcohol from the wine. www.win-zero.com
