Valdelosfrailes (D.O. Cigales), Cyan (D.O. Toro) and EMINA (D.O. Rueda) are three of the wineries owned by the company chaired by Carlos Moro that are leading the way in visibility and digital sales within the wine industry of Castile and León, according to a nationwide study published by the digital agency Vital Innova in Valladolid. For the first time in Spain, the Marketing & Wine Score report has analysed the presence and digital activity of the wineries in Spain’s Designations of Origin and PGIs (Protected Geographical Indications). This is one of the most ambitious studies that have been carried out so far, and Bodegas Familiares Matarromera has come across quite well in the report. Several of its wineries, such as Valdelosfrailes, Cyan and Emina en Rueda, top the rankings in each of the designations where they are based. This study analysed fundamental aspects of their online presence, such as their positioning on Google, their activity on social media, the security of their online stores, the ability to book a wine tourism visit, their presence in marketplaces and their investment in online advertising. As for the company’s other wineries, Bodega Carlos Moro, for example, is privileged to occupy 5th place among all the wineries in the Rioja DOCa (Qualified Designation of Origin).
According to the global results of this study, the wineries of Castile and León are leading the way in digital visibility within an industry that generates sales of more than 1,000 million euros a year and employs more than 19,000 people in the Community.
